When a pulse-type fuel pump is not being used, install the brass plug to securely seal the vacuum port. Proper sealing prevents unwanted air from entering the intake system and helps maintain consistent engine operation.

For a compatible pulse-type fuel pump installation, replace the brass plug with the vacuum barb fitting and connect the appropriate pulse hose. Confirm that your fuel pump supports an intake-manifold vacuum signal.
